photoVoltaic (pV) solar panels convert the sun's energy into electricity while Domestic Hot Water (DHW) solar panels provide a cheap source of hot water heating.
Of course, pV solar panels are more flexible as you can use the power generated by the panels for heating or powering household appliances, or can even sell power back to your electricity company!
